The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has implemented strict and clear compliance regulations for digital payment token (DPT) service providers (DPTSPs) in Singapore.

The regulatory requirements coupled with a low tax rate and an innovative culture, make Singapore an attractive headquarters for many cryptocurrency entities. This fuels the demand for accounting and finance professionals with expertise in crypto accounting. This course aims to equip participants with the essential skills to excel in the dynamic world of crypto accounting and compliance.

 

 

On the completion of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Account for cryptocurrency on the balance sheet of a company;
  2. analyse crypto accounting practices in the financial statements of listed entities and licensed crypto entities in Singapore;
  3. implement best practices in wallet hygiene and crypto custody, and evaluate strategies to avoid common mistakes;
  4. interpret Singapore’s crypto license requirements; and
  5. Evaluate the functionality and effectiveness of crypto sub-ledger tools.

    UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) is an individual skills upgrading account for NTUC members.

    NTUC members enjoy 50% *unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP.     • Unfunded course fee must be S$20.00 and above, and;
    • Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any and;
    • UTAP application must be made within 6 months after course ends.
