Exclusive and Complimentary Event for finance professionals in the public sector

Date: 12th March 2026
Venue: ISCA House, Members Lounge, Level 1
60 Cecil Street, ISCA House, Singapore 049709

Programme Outline

From Technical Excellence to Transformational Partnership

As public sector organisations navigate increasing complexity, fiscal pressures and rising expectations of accountability and outcomes, the role of finance is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Finance professionals are no longer valued solely for technical expertise and control. They are increasingly expected to shape conversations, influence decisions and partner closely with stakeholders to enable meaningful and sustainable change.

This fireside chat centres on Finance Business Partnering as a transformational capability within the finance function. Other than frameworks tools, the discussion will focus on the human and behavioural dimensions of partnering that enable finance to create impact. Through real-life scenarios, the session will explore how finance professionals can shift mindsets, build trust, manage ambiguity and exercise influence in environments characterised by multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Moderated by Mr Wang Guangzhao, a seasoned finance leader with deep experience in transformation and stakeholder engagement, the conversation will be grounded in practical realities faced by finance teams driving change. Mr Terence Cheng, Finance Business Partner at Arla Foods Ingredients, will share hands-on experiences from partnering roles across commercial and regional settings, drawing out insights that are highly transferable to the public sector context.

You can expect a candid and reflective discussion on what it truly takes for finance to evolve from a technical function into a transformational partner, with practical takeaways to strengthen your effectiveness in shaping outcomes and delivering public value.
